Within the healthcare setting it has been identified that distraction therapy is a useful tool to assist medical staff undertake invasive procedures such as venepuncture, and minimise the distress caused to the patient (often paediatrics). This course will cover the rationale and process to use the VR system that has been developed for use in the clinical environment.

This course is targeted towards staff (predominantly medical) working in areas who undertake invasive procedures with a patient group that would benefit from distraction therapy.
