Job assignments are the way to link you to your managers and workplaces.
Before - you could only have ONE primary manager - BUT NOW with job assignments you can add additional links to other workplaces or managers.
To link your profile to your workplace and Manager, please follow the instructions below.
If you only have one workplace or Manager
In the logged in user block which is on the top right side on your dashboard - links to your primary manager, position and workplace should be displayed. If these are not already set - there will be a link you can click on so that you can update your details quickly. You can also set this information using the Job Assignment Section on your profile - as explained below.
If you have more than one workplace and/or manager.
To do this go to your profile (there is a link on the main menu) and located in your profile there is a section called 'Job Assignments'
The first step is to create a 'Job Assignment' for each of the workplaces you work in. You need to link your profile to each workplace.
Click 'create a new job assignment - Ensure that you give the Job Assignment a relevant name i.e. Ward A, Ward B
You will also have to enter a job assignment number (i.e. 2, 3 or 4...). Add in the position, Manager and organisation/Workplace for each job assignment. Save the job assignment
e.g.
if you work for Ward A - you will need to go into the first Job Assignment - and then add your Position, Workplace and Manager for this job assignment
If you work for Ward B - you will need to create another Job Assignment - and then add the Position, Workplace and Manager for that secondary job assignment
Continue to create job assignments for each of the areas that you work in.
If you move to a different location, or your clinical areas change, you can create - and delete Job Assignments which will remove the link to that clinical area.
Please note - ORGANISATION refers to your workplace, this may be your ward or clinical area (ie Ward 45) or for smaller organisations - there will only be one option, just the company, organisation or facility.
DHB's Please remember to search for your clinical area, or locate using the organisational structure for your DHB.
When selecting your manager - please check that you select the correct person, as many people share a similar name. If you are unsure check with your line manager what their email address is as an additional way to confirm their identity.
